We're not a large company with offices around the world, we don't have divisions and departments, and we're definitely not like other web designers.
Now that you know what we're not, let me tell you what we are. Hoop Media is a private, small business with just a few employees but a lot, let me repeat that... A LOT of talent. We started small in early 2004 and we intend to stay small and nimble to keep operating costs and overhead as low as possible. If you're looking for a development firm with hoards of graphic design artists and a cubicle farm of web developers sucking down YooHoo and playing ping-pong, then you've come to the wrong place. You see, when we come to the office we don't fool around playing games on your dime, and when we're done we leave because quite frankly, family time comes first. Usually we put in a full day and occasionally nights as well depending on workload, but we try not to get too stressed out and keep focused on the bigger picture in life.

Our Process
How much will my project cost?
The golden question. It takes time to create websites with the craftsmanship that we pride ourselves in. Based on the budget that you have we can devote more or less time to your project. More time on your project = better results. Regardless how much budget you have we’ll be honest and up front with you if your budget is realistic or not. We produce top quality work, master craftsmanship takes time. Would you rather drive a Ferrari or a Go-Cart?
How long will it take?
This can depend on the project, but once we have communicated and we have determined what you are looking for, most projects take 4 – 6 weeks.
When can you start on a new project?
It depends what projects we may already have in the works, but if you contact us, we will let you know what your start time would be, so don’t be shy and drop us a line!
Strategy
This stage usually takes the shortest amount of time but is the most important part of the entire project. Getting this stage correct is key. Based on your input we will formulate the goals and expectations of your project. Most of this comes from the web/branding questionnaire that we have you fill out, as well as face to face meetings or phone calls. We’ll also be working with you on gathering relevant content/copy to use for your site.
Design
We design your website from scratch. We start with a blank canvas and create it completely from the ground up. During this stage we rely on your feedback as we present you with design mockups. Once a final design is approved for all pages/sections, we move on to the next stage. This is where the strategy takes on an identity of it’s own, and is also the most fun!
Development
Once you have approved the look and feel of the design, we get started on building out the actual pages. This is the stage where the code is written and when we setup and integrate any database, CMS or ecommerce components. We also work with you during this stage to input your content. This stage usually takes the longest and is complete only after thorough user and bug testing. After testing the website it is then launched! Every website we created last year had a CMS (Content Management System) to update every aspect of the site. Because we love you.
